Some of the Parts by Hannah Barnaby

Tallie is not recovering from the loss of her brother.  When she discovers that her parents donated his organs she goes on a quest to find the people who have them.  This is a sad, sad story.  Tallie makes all kinds of bad decisions and treats her family and friends poorly.  I had trouble getting past the fact that she had almost no mental health support.  I cannot imagine that happening in real life.  The writing, however is masterful.  Here’s one of my favorite lines:  “…because my memories are so fragmented, like the shards of a mirror that don’t make a whole mirror when they’re glued back together.”
