Gabi, A Girl in Pieces by Isabel Quintero

I didn’t really feel compelled to finish this one, but about 75% into the book it really picked up. The writing is good, but the plot got a bit convoluted for me.  Too many things going on – kind of like a real teen’s life.  Some readers are going to love the mix of Spanish and English and some readers will struggle with it.  My favorite part was Gabi’s Zine, the look of the pages was as perfect as the poems.
